Louisville 91 NC State 66

Featured Replies

Chucky back. James Scott back. Total domination by the Cards.

19-6 overall, 12-2 in the ACC.

Four of Louisville's five starters finished with at least 15 points. Cards shot 63% from the field, 58% from three. Scored 50 in the second half.

Chucky Hepburn is the best PG in the ACC.

The Hannibal Lecter look is something else.  I don't know how that kid breathes in that thing.

This is a different team with Hepburn playing. Having Scott back is obviously big too. Nice win Cards!

The 8 seed projection from Lunardi with a top 20 SOS and top 30 NET ranking confuses me. I try to stay in my own lane with that stuff because I’m a bit ignorant to it but could someone explain to me how that is the case?

It’s important to remember that Lunardi’s talent is predicting who makes the field, not the actual seeds.

Lunardi is awful at seeding.

If Louisville keeps winning, there's zero chance they get an 8.

Unless of course they just get absolutely hosed.

Another dominating performance against a team they should have dominated.   Good to see Hepburn back on the floor looking 100%

Not to split hairs, but Lunadri has them as a 7.  They should improve on that though if they keep on pace.  Ultimately I think they end up around a four.

Quad 1 wins is a big determining factor when the NCAA starts seeding teams. Conversely Quad 1 losses don't really hurt seeding all that much.

Here is where the Cards sit as of today. They are 29th in the NET which would equate to the 7th seed they are currently projected at. Without a huge run in the ACC tournament I think 5th seed is probably the ceiling and about where they land.

Will Kevin Keatts survive this at NC State? He was on the hot seat last year then made a surprise run to the Final Four. Seems like they're once again back to blah in Raleigh.

Yeah I think a 5 seed is probably their ceiling given their schedule, and that would take a run in the ACC Tournament.

The only way they sniff a 4 is if they beat Duke and win the ACCT.

No, he's cooked.
