Heard that when he was at the Duke/BC game that he looked really disintrested and left early. I dont know where he will go but I dont believe he will end up at Duke.
January 31, 200719 yr Hard to believe this report. PP doesnt really let his feelings be known, and he's pretty even keel. I'm sure he wouldnt let anybody know this info if it were the case. I can understand being overwhelmed by CIS, I just dont believe that he would let that kind of thing out. Also said some time ago that he didnt like how small it was at CIS. Why would this trip change his mind? And whoever said 3 years in a row with no PF, who is Perry Stevenson and what position does he play? I know he's no Burger Boy, but he is a solid PF who will be very nice for UK if they dont bring in a guy like PP.

"When I came here for the first game, I was shocked and amazed because I knew it was going to be loud, but it was crazy with all the fans and the support they have. Coming here and playing on the floor and seeing everything has changed my whole perspective." Sounds like he had an awful time...

There's a pretty good chance that all three might be considered 'flops' at the end of their careers. 1 has already signed a 1st round contract in the NBA. 1 is averaging 15.6 ppg & 7.6 rebounds per game this season. He's shooting almost 60% from the field. In conference play he's averaging 13.0 ppg and 6.6 rebounds per game to go along with nearly 2 blocks and 1 steal per game. The other is averaging 14.8 ppg, 4.1 rebounds per game and is shooting 45.8% from the field & 38.7% from behind the arc. In his 7 conference games, he's averaging 19.6 ppg to go along with 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists. Since the start of '07, he's had 4 20+ point games (23, 21, 23 & 29 respectively). They may have been disappointing up until this year, but I don't see how you can consider them a "flop" with the way Morris & Crawford are performing this season.

January 31, 200719 yr Of course Patterson is going to give a rave review of Cameron Indoor Stadium & Duke. They have great fans and a great atmosphere. Their arena is much smaller than Rupp, which is an advantage for the fans since they allow their students to sit practically on the floor (which is the way it should be done...). Has anyone heard that Patterson's mother is going to move with him, wherever he chooses to go? If so, I think that's a huge bonus for Kentucky.

"I enjoyed having the fans come out from Duke to come out to my game and chant for me, root for me, and make signs for me. I enjoy all of that, but it's no advantage whatsoever."

Pretty sure that overwhelmed at work and being overwhelmed on a recruiting visit (when everyone is there to serve you) is a bit different...

The problem is that every school seems to be cheering for him, so they're cancelling each other out.

January 31, 200719 yr I know we need a good pf, but I saw PP play at Memorial Coliseum and other than being a nice physical specimen I wasn't that impressed with him. Clips I have seen on the Pettigrew kid not sure I wouldn't just as soon have him. Tubby's been kissing PP tale for about two years I think he's done all he can.

After making some headlines earlier in the season by saying the 65 year old arena was a little too small and aged for his liking, many people wondered if his perception would change after seeing it come alive for an ACC game. I was overwhelmed with all the loud noise and all the crazy fans. So coming here, just actually getting to play here in front of all these fans and all the support I had, and I knew that this is a great building to play basketball. It's got a lot of history so it was just a great feeling to play here But it certainly couldn't hurt the Blue Devils' chances that he had a 10-of-12 shooting performance on the rims at Cameron. "That's a plus about Duke, I like their baskets," he said with a grin. :thumb: There you have it.
