Final. A good win for the Cats and a heck of an effort by Louisville. I think the Cards have found themselves a coach just as the Cats have and I think the future is going to be bright for both of the Commonwealth now in the future. The Cats are now 10-1 for the first time since the 2016-17 season. Next up for the Cats is the Buckeyes of Ohio State in the newly named HBCU Showcase formally known as the CBS Classic. The game will be at Madison Square Garden next Saturday at 5:30pm.

Overall a pretty decent showing by Louisville considering the circumstances. 

Kentucky will struggle in the SEC.

I just wasn't much interested in this one. Butler sure picked a good time to have a career game.  Louisville needs some horses.  Not a terrible performance by them, but their defense lacks.

I do really like Mark Pope. 

Good win! As mentioned I think both programs are in good shape with the current coaches leading them. 

Cards kept it closer than I ever thought they'd be able too.  Figured fatigue would set in about midway through the 2nd and UK would run away.

I'd say most teams will struggle in the SEC this year. If a team makes it out of the SEC with less than 6 losses in an 18 game conference schedule they're looking good for March.

Louisville has a 6-7 man rotation, zero post presence, Butler scored 33 on 10-10 shooting and they struggled to put the game away. They will have to be much better to make any noise, IMO.

This was great past Kentucky greats to this year’s Cats prior to today’s game with Louisville.

Amazing how this team was able to stymie the best offense in the country in the second half last week out in Seattle. 

Looking at the stats the most confusing thing is how did Louisville take 15 more shots than Kentucky? UK out rebounded them by 10, had 3 more steals and just 4 more turnovers. 

The discrepancy is mostly from the first half where the Cards shot something like 13 more shots than Cats.

If that's the only game you've watched I could see that take. I'm not too worried. At the same time, now you also know why I said I felt a lot better about the game with Butler playing.

I’m not gonna lie. This is one of the more corny things I've ever seen and that says a lot when considering BBN shenanigans over the years. ?

Kelsey cried on every call from start to finish, watching the game live the outcome was never in doubt from start to finish, Kelsey kept crying and Ville was getting 70% of the whistles, but he just couldn’t stop begging!!
