  • This may seem silly to some but as a Kentucky resident I wish our southern and northern neighbors didn't have to play each other in round one.

The CFP so far has been anything but exciting as the home teams have dominated. This game so far looks like a Kentucky High School Football 1st round playoff game with a #1 seed playing a #4 seed.

I think Ohio State rolls Tennessee. If Tennessee can hang around til the second half, I think they will pull it out. But I think Ohio State jumps on them quick and it's over by half time.

Ohio State -7

O/U 46.5

Ryan Day will be looking for his first win vs. an SEC school he is 0-3 so far losing in 2020 to Bama 52-14 and the heartbreaking loss to Georgia in 2022 42-41 and then the disappointing loss to Missouri last year 14-3.

I think that Ohio State wins. If Tennessee is capable of hanging with OSU for four quarters I’ll be surprised.

Ohio State wins in a game influenced by the weather.

I think bad weather benefits Tennessee. Their defensive front is no joke and OSU is already down a few linemen from the start of the year. I also think Tennesee is the more physical team overall.

On paper, especially with home field, I think OSU should win it. I have no trust in Ryan Day and Co. although I do think he's coaching for his job in the 1st round.

I agree with you about Day coaching for his job with this game. If Tennessee wins I believe OSU will be going after another coach.

I think given a couple of weeks to prepare, I trust Josh Heupel a whole lot more than I do Ryan Day. I think Heupel will put a few new wrinkles in for the offense, and when it comes to big games, Day is one of the best choke artists in the country. I think UT front 7 maybe the best OSU has faced all season. So, I'm going with UT in an upset over OSU. 24-20. Unless it is snowing, I don't think weather affects this game at all.

Correct misspelled word

We are house divided, Daughter, and recent UK grad, would only pick UT if they were playing UL...and in no other case.

Wife, who deals with several lovely inhabitants of Ohio in her job, wouldn't pick Ohio under any circumstances that she can think of.

I'm Switzerland in this deal as I can't stand either. However I have an old school friend that recently retired to Tennessee and has gone through an unimaginable family tragedy. He's a huge Vol fan, and this win would bring him and his remaining family great joy. So go Vols...beat the Buckeyes.

Can't believe you're going against the Buckeyes.
