  • I guess I will wade into this, but it really needs its own thread. There is too much that needs to be said, but I will be brief.  First, the generation of fans that started this ride 50 or so yea

Beechwood has tried that over night travel and it was a disaster. What led to the LCA domination is LCA is better than Mayfield.

No soup for you!

My heart is with Beechwood and my head is with LCA, I picked the Tigers! ?

Poll is 66-54 Beechwood.

If the Tigers can stop Howard which is alot easier said than done, and take care of the ball on offense, then they have a real shot at derailing the Eagle train.

Have these two met any other time in playoffs back in the day besides the title games?

Hey Beechwood powers that be, as of right now we have livestreams for 11 out of the 12 semi-final games with Beechwood being the only school that refuses to allow it.  You stink, Beechwood.

It’s pretty weak that this game is not viewable. I can’t but help to think of how my Pops was able to watch some games of his grandson last year while going through Chemo / cancer. It meant a lot. No reason these games shouldn’t be televised. Every school should be using it as an opportunity for students to do the broadcasting as well. Just my two cents. Go Beechies.

Exactly, this is one area Beechwood is behind in.

A little over two hours till kickoff. Looks like everyone has the same thoughts about what to expect tonight. Should be another classic. It really comes down to matchups on the field. Sometimes you just don't know until you line up and snap the ball.

Can Beechwood's defense stop the LCA running game?

Can LCA stop the Beechwood mutli-faceted offense?

Is LCA's offensive line going to control the line of scrimmage?

Is Beechwood going to have too much speed for LCA?

Can the Beechwood offensive line give QB Clay Hayden the protection he will need against LCA's 3rd down blitzes?

Both teams have kickers that put the ball in the end zone consistently on kickoffs - but will the cold weather keep the kickoffs in play and give the speedy returners for both teams a chance at big plays?

The big question in every big game matchup - who will win the turnover battle?

We are watching down here In WKY. keep the updates going!

Good luck to both teams tonight but as always I am rooting for the Tigers in this one. LCA's run game makes me nervous but I am hoping Coach can make the proper adjustments and figure it out.

Same for my 80 something year old dad that lives in Florida.  He has supported Beechwood for 50 years and he always wants to know if he will be able to watch the Tigers.  Not this week, Dad...

I expect LCA to march downfield for a score on their first possession. Then we will see if the Beechwood defense can improve on each possession from there as the game goes on. The Tigers will need to ramp up to the quality of this opponent after their last 8 games.
