Just as a reference, check the Highlands schedule from 2009. They beat several Ohio  teams  including St. X (0H) who was ranked in the top five in the nation along with Highlands.  Again congrats on your great win.

I 100% agree that national championship talk is not in order for Boyle, or any Kentucky power that doesn't go out of its way to schedule a true national non-district schedule on a week after week basis.

The sport has changed even since Trinity's magical 2011 season. The elite of the elite now are pure football factories (IMG, Gorman, Mater Dei, etc) that attract top talent from across the nation to transfer in on a yearly basis and they are scheduling a 10 week slate of national level top 25, 50 & 100 games. Every team on Mater Dei's schedule is a top 250 team and ½ are top 25. They've only played 2 games this year and have already beaten two top 10 opponents before Sept. 8. They have another top 10 opponent and 2 more top 25 upcoming.

Big school Ohio, Texas and Florida teams run a strength of resume padding gauntlet in the playoffs that simply cannot be replicated here.

In today's reality, Highlands '09 schedule you said to check would no better help any team nationally than the schedule Boyle has this year.  After that 9-3 St. X squad, Ryle was the next best team on the Highlands schedule that year.

Both St Edward and Boyle lost votes as a result of that game.  Boyle went from unanimous #1 in the Courier Journal 4A media poll last week to receiving 15 of the 16 1st place votes this week (Tilghman picked up a 1st place vote this week.)

Not sure how you objectively evaluate 4A and vote Paducah Tilghman #1.

This statement right here is spot on. They have moved on from St. E and are looking at Scott Co. they want to be practicing on Thanksgiving and playing in December.

I saw the schedule the first time it was posted.  It is a good schedule but not a great schedule in today's world.
