You didn't think Boyle had a chance before the game and you don't want to give the Rebels their props now.

I have given Boyle their props before, during and after this game.

But you're new here so...

Boyle County does not have a path to a mythical National Championship. That doesn't mean the win, their team, and their overall success as a program isn't impressive.

At the risk of not being fun, I have to say folks need to slow way down.

To be honest,  in my opinion Boyle County is happy about the national ranking and attention they are getting but the big picture is Stand on Bu5iness for 5 straight 4A Championships and 13 overall.

Trinity finished #2 in Calpreps in 2011. Link to those rankings and can see who they played that year. Was a very tough schedule.

From that link:

#24 St. Xavier (Cincinnati, OH) (17-7)
#53 Cathedral (Indianapolis, IN) (36-14)
#58 Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, OH) (49-14)
#175 St. Xavier (Louisville, KY) (41-6)
#175 St. Xavier (Louisville, KY) (42-6)
#242 Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, TN) (45-7)
#459 Scott County (Georgetown, KY) (62-21)
#559 DuPont Manual (Louisville, KY) (55-0)
#559 DuPont Manual (Louisville, KY) (58-7)
#565 Elder (Cincinnati, OH) (56-7)
#863 Bell Academy [Montgomery] (Nashville, TN) (66-21)
#1242 Butler (Louisville, KY) (49-6)
#1715 Male (Louisville, KY) (49-0)
#5751 Kenton [Simon] (Independence, KY) (72-0)

Here is a good read and from the thread:

From the article which is MIA now:

Trinity coach Bob Beatty said he would have had several issues playing such a game, including compensation for his assistant coaches and asking players to add extra practices and a game to an already long season.

“I would have had to have been told to do it,” Beatty said. “Would I have accepted it on my own? No. But I respect my bosses, and if they had told me to do it, I would have done it.”
