Thats sad that when you take out derogative chants out of Boyd County's Student section, they dont say anything.

I've been to almost every BC game this year and not once have I heard them start a derogative chant.

 

I think they were afraid to chant anything after the principle and APD came over and told them to keep their mouths shut before the game started...

 

I don't recall the BPD going over to Ashland student's section and telling them to keep their mouth's shut when they played at Boyd Co.

Didnt Selby get kicked off the BC football team last season? Isnt he a senior this year anyway?

Yeah, he was kicked off for missing more than three practices.

Im back, but not in the same capacity. I pledge to do my best to shy away from any trash talking, bickering, mud slinging, and stick to comments only about what happens on the basketball court or football field. And of course provide much needed factual information when some BGP'ers let their imaginations run wild. :thumb:

I have seen CovCaths students section, and it was at a Football game to get them to the state Championship, and I will say the Kids from Ashland IMO put on a better show, all due respect to CovCath. Congrats to the Tomcats and Coach Buddy Biggs. They looked good from all points on the floor. Like I said, Ashlands student Section was AWESOME. But I must say I was disappointed with Boyd County's fans lack of enthusiasm, especially the Students. But it was a good game all around for the Tomcats, from the floor to the stands.

Hmmmm, could it be because Ashland's admin had the police over talking to only the BC student section and not the Ashland student section before the game??????

Nice post bobbyearl. I think both student sections should be accross from each other as it has been for many many years. When Ashland plays at Boyd however, they always sit on the opposite end. Ashlands student section was great accept for the GSA chant, and the couple of guys who tried to start a fight.(Saw that with my own two eyes)There is no point in that. Enjoy the rivalry students.....you will have that same feeling when your older and have special memories of that. Dont cloud it with trash. Your m:thumb: emories of your high school days should be great memories.

 

And the guys that were trying to start a fight walked right past Ashlands Admin and out the back door, then was let back in by the same admin. Had a BC student done that, the same admin would have wanted him arrested.

Isn't the Boyd County PD now history? I thought I saw that the New Judge Executive disbanded that agency and will now rely on the Boyd County Sheriff's office to police the County? I could be wrong.

 

Another good win for the Tomcats comming down the stretch leading into March. But its time to go back to work for this squad if we hope to make it to Morehead.

 

Yes, the student section was great but maybe we could come up with an original participation cheer since the rollercoaster and punch out has already been done. Maybe a swing or a vine swing:D I'm sure the leaders of this student section can come up with one or two:thumb:

you are correct...and the BCSD will be out in full force at the games. I have seen around 9 or 10 of them at the last few home games. Much needed improvement I think. :D

Ashland's student section was wondeful! Lots of spirit and pep! Loved it! Hopefully they keep it up the rest of the year. I think the guys really feed off of it.

I sense some bitterness or jealousy on this page here lately. :lol:

This was a fun game to watch,the fans were great and both coaches and teams are class acts, both teams played hard to the very last tick.It would have been nice to see both coaches empty their benches at the 2 min mark when this game was really over.
