I read this comment online before seeing it here but I literally laughed out loud when I did and from looking at what was shared about 90% or more of the people responding were of the same mindset.

I wonder why it's jumped up so much in the last 6 years. With that said, I'm not surprised they've lost that much annually. Which is also why I laugh at people that say the players associated with the financially failing product, should get paid more.

My guess is Silver was low balling the lost estimates back in 2018.  It is either that or like you I would love to hear an explanation.  I laugh too but more and more I think people are clueless about a lot of things and especially when it comes to money.

I have never researched the financial breakdown of either leagues revenues; but, I suspect it is driven by two sources….attendance and TV contracts.  Perhaps the Clark momentum will raise the tide for both sources.

Agreed, most are more worried about looking like an activist/advocate in the public eye more so than having a clue what they're advocating for.

The latest Fever game vs Chicago Sky on Sunday drew the largest television audience ever for a WNBA game.  An avg viewing audience of 2.5million with a high of 3.0 million.  Not really sure this female version of Caitlain versus the villain has a long life, but put a microphone in front of Reese and she plays her role  convincingly.
