Who else should be considered? Who's too high, too low? Thoughts?

Somehow it feels like Boyle is too low.

Not for sure who has the most returning in the top 5 teams listed?

Boyle has quite a bit coming back including Dawson and Quisenbery. Corbin has their QB back I think but lost the Smith Twins. I think Cov Cath lost several big contributors, but I could be wrong. I have no idea about Paducah or Franklin.

Paducah returns a lot, including QB Jack James and ATH Martels Carter.

Cove Cath loses alot with Rodriguez, Pitzer, Reeves, Leen, Flood, Miller and crew all graduating.

The upside is they have a stong underclass, ready to play kids, next man up regime and return Kruer, Sanning, Harney and Link among others.

Is the kid from Edgewood who spent his freshmen year at Elder going to move to CovCath?  I've heard he could be there as early as the first day of the 2nd semester, not sure if he didn't like Elder, or because he has an 8th grade brother (at Pius, maybe) who will be at CovCath so they want both boys together, but he has a TON of potential...or so I've heard.

Emmett Queen, not sure what the plans are for those boys. The young one played CYF this year. Word was they way moved to Cincy so he could play for GCL Elder but didn’t get a lick of play time and family expected Varsity , only played a handful of minutes on Freshman.
He’s a Covid hold back too.

Not sure he’d go back to CCH, would have to duke it out for the QB role.  Neighbor claims he’s going to try for the new St. Henry team and be their QB out the gate. That’s all I’ve heard.

Unless something drastic happens, I don’t see Boyle getting beat. Certainly not by Cov Cath.

I actually think PT would have a small shot next year with a G5 QB, a high 4 star player and a lot of returning starters. The problem for them is I thought the coaching gap between PT and Boyle was pretty big.

Boyle is probably 1 in a lot of classes. With Q returning I think this crew is going to be hard to beat. PT only graduates 10 Seniors off of a very athletic roster I think we see them again late in the playoffs trying to make a run at this one.

Emmett Queen is definitely a very solid quarterback. His dad, Heath, is an Ohio State football alum who had his college career ended by an injury. They lived in the St. Pius parish in Edgewood and then moved over to Ohio this past spring for Emmett to play at Elder. Emmett's 8th grade CYF team was the undefeated champion in the Cincinnati GCYL the year before last (along with teammates Jonny Lind, Jimmy Carson, Ariel Garista, Lucas Rensing, Jackson Payne, Owen Pitzer and Colin Vinson who were all moved up to Cov Cath's varsity squad at various points this past season). Dad seems to have Emmett hitting up all the big camps...Notre Dame, Alabama, UK, Northwestern. He has also had some visits with some big programs like Alabama, UK, Ohio State. Not sure if the visits were the byproduct of attending the camps, or if they were outright invitations.

Anyway, word was the Queen family was disappointed that Emmett was only playing freshman ball at Elder this past season. I've also heard folks saying that they're eyeing the possibility of Emmett heading back to Cov Cath, as @The Double Deuce said. There is also a younger son, Landry, who played edge on the CYF 8th grade team this past year. I haven't heard anything remotely official about where either of the boys will be next year, but I do know that Emmett's Twitter account did at one time list him as "2027 QB | Elder HS" and now only lists him as "QB | 6’2” 195 lbs | 4.3 GPA"...although his, Hudl account (which does not appear to have been updated since September) still lists him as Elder class of 2027. Landry's Twitter account currently lists him as "2028 DE/LB | St. Pius X † | Covington Catholic". That may all add up to something, or it may not.

I will say, if Emmett comes in at QB, that will give Coach Eviston QUITE the bounty of quarterbacks: Cash Harney (CCH '26), Elliott Fieler (CCH '26), Dylan Gaiser (CCH '26), Jackson Payne (CCH '27), and Emmett Queen (Class of '27).

I think Boyle returns 8 starters on Defense, they will be tough again next year. Quisenberry will be the best player in the State and I look for a breakout year for Demauriah Brown replacing Bodner at RB. I also think Coach Haddix will use Brock Driver more at TE next year.

Probably better for a Cov Cath thread, but found a few throws on his Twitter and I think Queen is starting at QB next year.

Ideally, that happens because I think Harney is going to be a 1st team all nky safety the next 2 seasons (5 picks as a soph, also a very good tackler in space) and would catch a ton of passes in the Braylon Miller role out of the slot.

Throw in Gaiser as the main back and we’re competitive in 24 and have a real shot in 25.

Outstanding write up on the future….we are a year away and will be scary in 2025…..plain and simple.
