• Colonels - big momentum from half court D, won the 3rd quarter 23-15. 

 

Good first half but excellent move by CCH to switch to zone. Newport looked very stagnant vs the zone and CCH got hot shooting the ball. 
Also did not see a lot of depth from the Newport side. 
 

Good game and both teams played hard.

Watched it, focused on the action on the floor. Sounded like they did. ?

Didn't see all the Newport blowhards on Facebook tonight, where you at?  Thought it was going to be a blowout and CCH had it coming to them?  

A funny thing happened on the way to the 'Port Coronation.  Wow!!!!

Expect these two to play again, but regardless, this is a MAJOR statement on the Wildcats' home floor.  

Watched it on 859 Sports Radio. Great job per usual. To me the body language from Newport was “we are the bully’s on the block” and outside of the first quarter that wasn’t true. I felt like they needed to work the ball inside way more, and weren’t knocking down the outside shots. CovCath had Miller playing very aggressive around the rim even with 3 fouls and as 859 said CovCath won the majority of 50/50 balls.

And?  A lot of good basketball players in front of him.  Who should he have played in front of.  Kid is a week out of football and this team is DEEP.

Everyone who played more than him tonight is better than him at this point. Not taking anything away from him as he’s definitely a good player.

We’ll have to agree to disagree, Ruthsatz is not a top 5 player/starter on this team. But, considering the circumstances, that battle is already lost.

I actually did think the same thing before last night and was very surprised to see him starting but his game looked much improved in last night’s game. Ruthsatz played really well.
