I watched the SK vs Ashland game. Sk blew that game. I don’t see that happening to Cov Cath. 

Ashland is better than the poll would suggest - it's 48-5 right now - but CovCath is a notch or two better. Pitzer, Leen, the receivers, the o-line... all really good. The CovCath defense will have to ratchet things up, because Ashland has the quarterback and skill people to cause some problems.

I don't know how Ashland defends Rodriguez. He's due for a big game catching the ball.

CalPreps has Ashland at about the same rating as Beechwood. CovCath only beat the Beechies by 4 points. Based on that score, this game could be very competitive. CovCath's corners better come ready to play, they will be tested.

Ashland has more size and a better defense than Beechwood. This game will be a good one.

Ashland has a quality offense, they will score a time or two.  Their defense, sans one or two games, has been porous. Their kicking game allows short fields which puts even more pressure on the "bend but don't break" defensive philosophy. It would be a stretch to say they have a better defense that Beechwood. I hope you're right but I don't see it in this one.  Covington Catholic rolls somewhere in the 42-14 range. 

I will take a quality defense over a quality offense in the playoffs any day except Sundays. CCH by at least three scores.

Ashland wins and sends 4a play offs into a hot mess of plan changin. 

Going to be a good game for sure it will definitely shake up 4A with the RPI if Ashland wins. 

Flood and Kruer are 2 of the best linebackers in KY. Having Josh back is big for the Colonels. Defense wins championships. Go Colonels!

Or because a school like CCH represents a choice in life for parents and children.  Most people only care about a choice when it is an issue near and dear to them.  Otherwise, all too many people will just sit back and hate when anyone has a choice, especially if that choice is better than what they choose or it is something they do not agree with.

Switching back to the game, I like CovCath to run away with this game in the second half and I am thinking a three or four TD win for the Colonels. 

I hope you’re right, but I see it as a closer game, maybe CCH bye two or three touchdowns.

Agreed. The good news for us is Braylon Miller has played a ton of football and is imo the best player we’ve had at corner in a while. 

Dylan Gaiser definitely needs more seasoning, but is athletic enough to compete with just about every receiver in the state and Cincinnati area. 

I think both of those kids are pretty tough and are more than willing to stick their nose in and tackle.

Let’s refrain from throwing the Cincinnati area in there. There are several receivers over there that would be fits for every starting cornerback in NKY. Yet alone a 5’10 sophomore starting for his first time. We get the point no need to exaggerate! Competitive against NKY isn’t any where near being competitive against Cincy. CCH passing game hasn’t been tested on that level, let’s be real.
