This and the ball has to cross the line of scrimmage. 

 

Like many of their first downs, the Colonels get the benefit of the refs quick incorrect call. Ball not only never crossed the goal line, it was in the possession of BW55 a yard away from the line.

Hard to see where the ball was from that angle. Be nice to see an overhead and aslo be able to do frame by frame. Are you saying CovCath had numerous first downs gifted to them by the officials? If so I can't take you serious.

Any response? I saw the game and there were some calls that were missed but spotting the ball wasn’t one of them. I will say missed tackles did Beechwood in on a few key plays but everyone of their guys played like their butts were on fire on defense. You could tell they were trying as hard as possible on every play the whole game. 

I would love to see if someone else caught it but I’m almost 100% sure on Beechwood’s delay of game call, on 4th and 6 from around the CCH 25, that the back judge only counted to 3 before he threw the flag.

Hergott was very upset on that one. I assume he was watching the back judge count down. He was on that official all the way through to the next play.

The ball is never visible in that clip. It did not cross the goal line.

What time in the game? I thought the Back Judge was supposed to give a 5 count?

They called that a TD? Ouch. I don't see it. But I wasn't there, and all the back and forth won't give Beechwood a win either. Beechwood was the benefactor of the same type of call against Dixie. Gregg was absolutely in if THIS was called a TD. You get some calls, you don't get others. On to District games.

Gregg was not in. I have seen the video. You can't go by the picture that was circulated.

The better argument for Dixie fans is the face mask that was missed on that play.

Dixie’s guy was short for sure. It was a missed Facemask call though also. This play appears he’s short but it’s not down the line either.

The thing on this video is the ball is never visible. How can you signal TD when you never see the ball?

It appears this outcome is headed to litigation. I submit my good friends here to represent one of the parties *or on the down low, maybe both. Finder's fee x 2 - owlette needs new shoes*.

Just watched the video. The back judge absolutely only counted three with his arm then blew the whistle for delay of game. I can see why Hergott was upset.

Impact on the game? Who knows. It went from 4th and 9 to 4th and 14. Beechwood threw an incomplete pass.

I need some help, hopefully an official can watch this and tell me where the penalty is.
