Somerset is a wild card to punch Catholic in the mouth. Other than that it’s a doooozey for 2a.

Why do you say that?  The east is definitely less competitive than west. You have OC, mayfield, LCA, Green County, Murray, Crittenden. Other than beechwood whose is in east?  According to ratings, not really anyone.

Because winning a state title isn’t easy no matter what side of the bracket you are on!

Have they ever won one before? I know Bourbon County beat them in 1997 when Dudley Hilton had that magical run in the playoffs!

The stars are aligning for Catholic to at least be in the state title. If they get RPI #1 then it’s a cake walk for Catholic. When they get to the titke game is another story, but they won’t have to go through what Beechwood, Mayfield or LCA will go through.

How many seniors does OC have? Is Atwwll I think that is his name a junior or senior?

I am thinking they have 13.  Atwell is a Junior.

Not sure. I know here at OHS we have 11. I'm thinking the same around 13. I know they lose alot at WR and a few linemen, but they are good at reloading so I wouldn't put too much "well they will be down next year."

Both Carrico boys are tough as nails - athletic, smart, fast.  The older can house it any time he touches the ball.  Or they can simply line up and let 230 lb. Atwell run you over.  He can also put the ball on a dime.  It's going to take a tough defense to slow them down.  They had LCA beat but ran out of time last year at the 1 foot line.  I don't think they are afraid of anyone.

That said, I'm sure they respect Mayfield, Beechwood and LCA very much, but it looks like they will only have to face 1 of them and that would be in the state finals.  If they are healthy, I don't think anyone else in 2A can hang (besides the other top 3).
