As a Mayfield fan I hate to say it but It’s looking more and more like an LCA vs Beechwood state championship.

Not a chance. McCracken beat Crittenden by 3 TDs and Mayfield put a running clock on McCracken before halftime. That’s how huge the gap is between the top 4 and the rest.

2A is going to be real boring, at the top, for the remainder of the season. LCA has Raceland the last game but other then that I see a lot of running clocks by the top 4.

I am interested in seeing how the district schedules impact RPI. Owensboro Catholic and LCA have very low RPI district opponents. Mayfield has good RPI district opponents.

The key, I think, is to keep an eye on the winning percentages. 

Beechwood will have an excellent WP. They'll continue to reap benefits from Cov Cath's WP (part of their OWP). There'll also be some residual "Class Value" multiplier points from wins over Campbell Co., Dixie Heights, and Simon Kenton - regardless of their final WPs - a net wash at worst. One can fall into a rabbit's hole tracking OOWP, imo.

All three of those WPs are the  important variables of course, not the other teams' RPIs.
