5. Franklin County at 5A North Laurel

6. Paducah Tilghman vs. 2A #3 Mayfield

7. Johnson Central at 3A #6 Belfry

8. Logan County at 1A Russellville

9. Letcher County Central at 3A #4 Bell County

10. Warren East at 6A Barren County

If Paducah Tilghman were to defeat Mayfield would that push them up the board?

I assume the Franklin County win last week (great win by the way Flyers!) has to have them right on the gear box of Ashland.

How big is the gap between #3 and #4 and the rest?  Are the top 3 much the best, or am I over-stating it some?

Feels that way to me, that 1-3 are heads-and-shoulders above the rest of the field.

Paducah Tilghman is a team to watch. They've been impressive first two games and a win over Mayfield will confirm what we've seen so far.

Because of injuries to Johnson Central, Franklin County will be that team who should be in the 4th spot IMO. Boyle is elite and fast. Corbin has talent and Covington Catholic is right there with both the top 2. I think when Franklin County gets there QB back, they will be a legit contender. Boyle is the top dog and Corbin and Covington Catholic both have there own strengths. The only change to this poll would be to put Franklin County in the 4 spot. They will get there reguardless, they always come to play in November.

I'd say being in same class as Boyle County, then a win would be best, but a close loss to Mayfield isn't bad.

Eyes are on the Flyers… as well as Tilghman. Hard to just start jumping teams when teams in front of them haven’t done anything worthy of being jumped.

Doesn't really matter, with Covington Catholic holding the solid third this is just a discussion about who gets second pick of the leftovers...

Hum, Ashland is now well ahead of Johnson Central.  I think someone mentioned that a week ago.

For the next thought, it is entirely possible that Ashland is in the State Championship game.
