Hum, Ashland is now well ahead of Johnson Central.  I think someone mentioned that a week ago.

For the next thought, it is entirely possible that Ashland is in the State Championship game.

Are they beating Corbin or Boyle to get there?

Which ever one offends you the least.

Corbin is a very dangerous team in 4A.

I agree. I just think Ashland has a chance and shouldn’t be overlooked.

I’m no Ashland fan, but they have  a lot of the pieces of the puzzle and will be very good for the next two years.

I don't think Ashland has the potential to compete with Corbin or Boyle. I do think they have the potential to beat Johnson Central but I'm not convinced they are there at this point in time. They just have too much youth, especially on defense. The thing about young kids is they normally have a steep learning curve. If they continue to develop I think beating Johnson Central is a real possibility. Corbin or Boyle County, not this year.

I wasn't being sarcastic, that was a serious question.  But if we're sharing opinions I think Ashland loses to to Boyle or Corbin both by at least 3 td's.

I will say this on Paducah Tilghman’s behalf. Last year CAL beat every opponent they faced by at least 35 points including LCA, except for Tilghman which they beat by only 6 points. The very next game after Tilghman, CAL beat Ashland 50-7. Tilghman is exponentially better this year than they were last year. With that being said, I understand all that was last year and that they were in 3A. I also understand that other teams are possibly better this year, including Ashland and anything can happen in one single game. But I, myself, just find that to be interesting information.
