Central Hardin Was unusually balanced in a win vs GRC, a 43 yard TD run, a 37 yard TD pass, a kick off return for a touchdown followed by a 77 yard TD pass, and a 29 yard run. The totals include 391 yards (236 yards rushing, 155 passing yards). 

Central Hardin should find earning yards much harder this week in a true early season test vs Dupont Manual. 

QB Elijah Creech and RB Zahron Washburn will keep CH coach Tim Mattingly up at night this week devising a plan on defense to stop this dynamic duo. 

As always, I believe the game will be decided up front where CH must establish a run game with Mason Gardner and Walker Meredith. If Manual can effectively shut down the CH run game, it could be a long night for Central Hardin. 

On the flip side, CH must somehow limit Washburn to under 100 yards on the ground to have a chance in this game. 

My prediction on the outcome of this game: Manual 28 Central Hardin 20. 

This is gonna be a really good game. Excited to see who wins this one. I’m going with Central Hardin 28-27

Manual will win

The Crimsons have the talent to be one of the top 3-4 teams in the state.

We shall see if they can get there, but they are really talented.

I don't think this one will be as close as people say. After the impressive win they had over Lou Central, I'll take the Crimsons by 3 TDs. 

I watched CH lose to Barren Co in 20-21, so give me Manual by at least 3 touchdowns.

I think Barren is better than most people think. They just blanked a semi solid Metcalfe County team 30-0 in a dominating performance.
Metcalfe isn't even close to last year, but they aren’t a terrible team either. Barren was very solid that entire game. 
With that said, I saw Manuel in a scrimmage game and they are big and fast. QB Is erratic throwing the football at times, but that running game is for real. The RB for them is a hard man to bring down and runs hard, so give me Manuel by 2-3 TDs as well.

I should’ve been more specific that was 2020 and 2021 but it just makes me not trust CH.

There are no starters left at CH from either of those teams? 

Manual shut down one of the top running backs in the state. Hard to believe Central Hardin would fare better.

It would definately be an "upset alert" moment if CH keeps this close late in the 4th quarter.

Start time Friday night has been moved to 8:30.

Manual is reliably good on defense, year to year. Probably one of the better defensive programs around. It takes Male, St. X, or a special team like Bullitt East last year to put up points on the Crimsons. I think that defense wins out over Central Hardin this week with help from Washburn and the Manual running game.
