In no way am I a UofL supporter, unless #66 is on the field. However, I'm really impressed with Brohm's decision. It does show some character and hopefully it pays off for him. Although a couple picks against the CATS next year wouldn't exactly break my heart.

Wow!!! This would make a great movie!! What a spokesman for our University.

I'm in Card heaven.

He should have left with an undefeated record against his in-state rival.

I'm very happy for UL -- this certainly has to be a dose of Good News for Coach K as he sets out to fill the big shoes that Bobby P. left behind.

Question for RP, how does this decision give us a window into Brian's character? If he left to be a Top 10 pick, would it make him a bad guy? I'm just wondering.

Again, congrats to UL -- this is great news.

He wouldn't have been a top 10 pick, mid to last first rounder, I think he know's that next year he should put up some big #'s in a thin QB draft and be top 5 with A LOT of guaranteed money, smart decision by Brohm, if ya beat UK, hope ya go undefeated the whole way :D

Don't worry, he will. :p

I have never been so excited...it really shows the character of Brian, and now watch the team unite for a championship run.

His brother kind of foreshadowed this when he turned down the Bama job.

Do you think they kept his brother so Brian would stay?

Do you think they kept his brother so Brian would stay?

I don't think it was a matter of them keeping his brother, it was his brother deciding to stay at Louisvile rather than take a job at Alabama.

You guys know how much I love being right about this one?

:dancingpa

Well at least now UL stands a chance vs UK;) (that was said with tongue planted firmly in cheek)

it really shows the character of Brian

How is this a character issue again?

It can't be because he's turning down the money. Everyone keeps praising his decision because they say he'll go higher (therefore make more money) next year.

He made the decision he feels is best for him. Hopefully he stays healthy and it turns out to be the right decision. The decision doesn't really provide us any insight into his character.

I know UK fans might be excited about the implications for next September, but as far as I know Brohm has not declared.;)

 Well if Brohm is back... biggest if of the year... he made a bad choice.

I think so. No way does Brohm stay with Petrino and Bush leaving.

I think Brohm was gone regardless of what Bush did.

What Division I team in the state of Kentucky is falling to pieces?

All are gone!!

Something tells me Brohm and Bush let him in on a little secret............

With Petrino leaving, I think all Brohm & Bush questions have been answered.

Kids, I love you all, just a little fun after the hammering Cards fans have taken lately.

By the way, Wireman, Louisville had a pretty good recruiting weekend. :thumb:

Are you sure he turned down this job? I read where Alabama denied ever offering the job to Brohm. The foreshadowing may have come when his brothers were retained at UL though.

This is good news for UL and for college football when one of the very best players decides to stay four years. Brohm was obviously enjoying his college experience and wanted to finish what he has helped start at UL.
