Final from Rupp Kansas snaps a 3 game losing streak and the Cats snap a 4 game winning streak.

I was really kinda baffled Kentucky was favored in this game. In general, I’m not heartbroken about this one because I didn’t expect this edition to win it. 

UK lost but I think the Cats showed that they are still now a much better team than what we saw the first half of this year. They battled all game, but Kansas made some huge threes on offense in the last 5 or so minutes of the game to seal it. 
 

Last year UK destroyed Kansas at Kansas, but then faded the rest of the year. Hopefully it’s the opposite this year and UK continues its trajectory upward after this game. 

Cal forgot about Livingston in this game. Frederick was lost all night and Cal hoped Wheeler could come on in his place and make something happen. Cal should have gone back to Livingston in the second half instead of giving Wheeler so many minutes.

Frederick disappeared again in a big time game. I don't remember watching a player fall off as much as him when the lights shine the brightest for UK under Cal.

Oscar shouldve touched the ball 10+ more times than he did.

Totally agree. Frederick was bad. Livingston was aggressive and should have ate up his minutes.

Wallace 17.5 combination of points, rebounds and assists was easy money.

But I missed 33.5 for Oscar barely. Good thing I had a boost on Wallace.

Frederick is just a little overmatched in these big games. He has to work so hard for his shot. He doesn't have the size or quick release to get good looks. He is the epitome of a spot up shooter. If his rhythm is messed with the least bit it is a problem for him. He needs to be squared up with space and has trouble creating space. He is good at feeding the post. Oscar needs to look to kick it back out to him more if CJ's man doubles down. Kick outs is where Frederick can hit some shots.

Agree. But team's know, don't double off of Frederick. Reeves/Livingston need his minutes and Frederick needs put out to pasture.

Gotta say, credit to Kansas cause they hit some massive shots late.

I am such a huge Oscar supporter but I realized this last year and it's so much more evident this year, dude is a massive liability on D.

I think it is more about getting quality wins for UK. They really needed this win over Kansas. UK only has 1 Quad 1 win. They are sitting at #33 in the NCAA net rankings, right behind #32 Duke who is also 14-6.

Here are Quad 1 win opportunities in the remaining schedule:

Arkansas (2 games)

Mississippi State

Tennessee

at Florida

Auburn

If UK wins the non quad 1 games (Ole Miss, Florida, At Georgia and Vanderbilt) and half their quad 1 games left, I think they are in with 21 wins and 4 quad 1 wins. Three of those quad 1 games are at home.
