Why not run him off a GOOD screen which allows him to square up and shoot the ball? Why did the players not go to big Oscar more down the stretch? Kansas had no answer and no one to match up with him. Kansas just knew how to close it out.....nail those 24 footers lol.

While I agree with you about AAU ball, I don't really see this team playing that way. They just didn't look to get it into the big man nearly as much as they should've last night.

Frederick gets plenty of open looks, just isn't shooting as good as when he was at Iowa, especially against the higher quality opponents. After all his injuries, he's probably fallen off quite a bit.

Which is a big reason why although he was the POY last season, no one had him projected as a first rounder.

I would say you are in the 1% if you believe this UK team plays like this. The reality is, they don’t, and are often unselfish to a fault.

I’m terrible at picking this stuff despite watching a lot of NBA. That said, I do not see how he can find his way onto a NBA court.

As I’ve said from the beginning of the season, making a shot on the Big Ten Network against Northwestern is much different than a prime time Saturday night game against Kansas.

Same here.  I’m always stunned at the disparity between what I think will happen and what actually does.

Often you see guys that can make it if they have a unique skill. In Oscar’s case, rebounding. But if that is the case you best be able to defend in space (he can’t) or be a supreme athlete (he is not that). Now watch him go have a 15 year career ?

On Oscar, I won't say 15 years in the NBA but I think he will find a way. Chuck Hayes comes to mind. If Hayes made it 10 years in the NBA, I think Oscar can. And I do think Oscar has some unique athleticism that leads to his rebounding prowess. He is a strong dude who owns his space and has an intangible, innate jumping and timing skill.

Not feeding Oscar enough last night is a Cal thing. 2015 final four rings a bell. You have KAT as an unstoppable force and they quit feeding him the rock. If you can’t make outside shots, feed it down low and let Oscar decide where the ball goes.
