Achilles injuries are so bizarre as they normally come out of nowhere and are non-contact. Rodgers had been dealing with a lingering calf issue during camp, which is often a precursor to a failing achilles (see Kevin Durant). It's the reason the Bengals have been conservative with Burrow.

Absolutely, he doesn't retire today. But the first $75 is guaranteed and that's the risk the Jets were willing to take to sign him. He's getting that $75,000,000 even if he never walks in their facility again. 

Recently I have started watching some NFL coverage and for the most part it bores me to death.  One of the reasons is they beat so many of the same topics to death and one of those topics is Aaron Rodgers.  For the record, I think Rodgers is going to get hurt again.  I mean, I sure hope not, I don't want to see anyone get hurt.  Either way, expectations are very high for the J E T S Jets Jets Jets and I just don't see it.

I've been bored with the NFL for years. National outlets talk NFL literally the entire year and I just don't care that much.

I don't want to get off track here but another thing I hear/see a lot of is all the Lakers/LeBron talk, that makes my ears bleed.

I somewhat agree on the NFL other than the Bengals.  But even with the Bengals, I really don't want to invest much time in them unless it is game day.  The NFL has been pushing me away for years, little by little I like it less and less, ugh. 

Looks as if things are nearing an end for Rodgers. The Jets mortgaged their future for him, plus they accommodated Rodgers at every turn with acquisitions to have a worse product than they had last year. He’s not been himself since 2021.

You wouldn’t think it could stay this way, but his Jets winning percentage is worse that those guys he was supposed to replace.

Maybe Rodger’s was the problem his whole career?

I guess I need to finish the documentary on Aaron now.

He will make it through a couple of games and then get hurt.
