Having Campbell back will certainly help. I too would like to read an explanation of Coach Greer's actions?

Just heard some good news for the 2007 Redhounds... Campbell will be down there on Monday.

I heard that also the other night. Good to hear. Maybe he needed some time to find him-self and decide if he was willing to dedicate himself to it. It is a big dedication for a teenager to make. I'm glad he has rethought the situation's and decided he was willing to dedicate himself. It will payout for him in the end, not only will he have two more great years at corbin, but being a part of a program like corbin with the discipline and dedication it makes you a better person and gets you more ready for life.

Agreed. In the past we have lost kids similar to Campbell that would have helped in key situations. I.E. Senior yr of Aaron Cima and another big kid whose name I can't remember, #36. Those two could have been enough to get past Larue Co. that evening. We cannot cry for spilled milk, but we will always wonder.

Kenneth Bays is who you speak of.

dogman,

waiting to hear from you.

Kenneth Bays is who you speak of.

Yeah old bays was a man among boys. He was big as he was, but he really intimidated teams when he pulled that jersey up over the cowboy collar. It made a 6'4 240 DE look like about 6'6 300. His presence alone at that DE spot will be hard to ever match.

Any truth to former Redhound All-State lineman Derek Marlow being added to the staff. I think with his knowledge, experience, personality, and intensity, you will see what is going to be an already good line take another step to the next level. Great addition by Coach Jewell if this is true. I'm pretty sure it is considering the source I heard it from.

Thanks for the kind words Hound82. I have indeed been added to the coaching staff; as of now my primary duties are in the weight-room, but I would think Coach Jewell will see fit for me to work with the OL/DL when the time comes. This will of course limit/end my posting on Corbin Football for the most part as it may constitute a conflict of interest. I will say we are excited with our kids' work ethic thus far in the weight room. I am so thankful that God saw fit to lead me back to the program that I love so much...I hope I can make a positive difference in these young men's spiritual, academic, and football lives. My hope is my services will be beneficial to the program that was so good to me, that we may have continued success on the field, and that I may be a positive influence in the lives of these fine players. GO REDHOUNDS!!!

We will certainly miss your insight and knowledge on here, but the good news is that it will be put to better use.

Chant_50,

Maybe you can talk with Jewell and try to get Bell back on schedule

From all that I've been hearing Corbin looks to have a strong competitive team next year. The underclassmen seem to be working hard as do the seniors. Any ideas of who will be starting in what positions yet or is it still too early to speculate?

Will Freeman get a shot at QB or will he have to wait, if his arm improves he could make a better QB, because he is a better athlete and can get away from pressure.

I think Cashen has the QB spot locked up and with great reason. I'm not coach Jewell so I obviously don't have the say so in that but if he's not the starting QB considering he's one of if not the best in the state, I'd be shocked.

I think next year could prove to be a good battle. Roman Mitchell will be a sophomore and have a year behind Cashen and you also have the Duncum kid who is very talented.

I thought you'd jump into that one. It would be hard to be a Mr. Football candidate after losing your starting job.
