South Oldham vs. Iroquois Predictions/Updates

Featured Replies

Where:  2022 Pegasus Sports / First National Bank South Oldham Christmas Tournament at South Oldham HS, Crestwood, KY

When:  Wednesday 12/28/22   Tipoff 7:15 pm

Who:   South Oldham (5-5) vs. Iroquois (8-3)

What:  Semi-final round

Broadcast:  FREE, live, hi-def video coverage starts at 7 pm on www.pegasussportsky.com

Neither team has a marquee victory yet; South's best win was a 21 point victory over a 5-5 Beechwood team; Iroquois has beaten two teams with winning records (KCD 5-4 and Garrard County 6-4), but the Raiders are also looking to stamp themselves as a force.  Both teams can add a little bit to their "credibility" with a win tonight.       The winner of this game will advance to the title game and a likely matchup with undefeated McCracken County.

Both teams are riding small winning streaks; Iroquois has won five in a row; South has won three straight.

Saw Iroquois/Garrard yesterday but left before the South Oldham game (their margin was expected). Iroquois has a couple of nice players in Williamson (23) and Ford (3). I don't know that Iroquois handles the ball exceptionally, but can South Oldham apply enough pressure for that to matter? On offense, Garrard had a lot of good looks early and just couldn't make anything. South Oldham probably shoots it better. Will Iroquois try to extend pressure defense to disrupt the Dragons' shooting? I think this should be a very good ballgame.
