A tough way to start the season for the Cardinals a 10 point loss at home in their first exhibition of the season. Lenori-Rhyme is a Division II school from Hickory North Carolina.

This team is going to struggle to score points all season long.    But everyone involved knows this is a rebuild.   As long as they are better in March (tourney or (most likely) not) than they are now it will be a successful season.

This is horrible, can't get any worst.

Tough start for Payne. 

Anybody paying the slightest bit of attention the past couple of seasons knows how bad this roster is. 

There’s not one guy on the team that would start for another Power 5 program.

I’ve never had lower expectations for a season/team.

I haven't paid much attention to college basketball information, so I didn't know how bad Louisville would be.  Whew.

I wasn't thrilled with the Mack hire when it took place and I've felt the same with the Payne hire.

I was completely fine with the Mack hire, I honestly thought he would do much better here. 

Payne, not so much. He more than has his work cut out for him, which I will definitely acknowledge. I won't get too worked up over a meaningless exhibition, but this roster is bad. There's no other way to cut it. 

This LR team was also missing two starters. This is rock bottom of Louisville basketball and can only go up from here. They play Chaminade Thursday so if they lose that one then they may not win a single ACC game.

Reaction to preseason games are sometimes overreaction. Louisville will complete in league play and will win more games than most think.

Even with this roster, "experts" picked 3 other ACC teams to finish behind them.   So this may be a bad team, but it's not the apocalypse.

How many do you think they'll win?

Lenoir Ryne lost to a Community College before beating Louisville. I've seen better scoreboards at a high school. Worst loss in Louisville's modern history without a doubt.
