Lots of great games this week!  I wish I could be at this one.  2 great teams, 2 great programs.  BG QB is VERY confident - each game that I've seen, he's never lost composure or confidence and that's allowed them to win (see Father Ryan game).  While I think X is almost impossible to score on, if BG can win the turnover battle and get some defensive/special teams points they would have a shot.  I still stay with my 31-7 X prediction, but in certain conditions it could be a tight game.  Can't wait to catch a portion of this game tonight!

Roll him out of the pocket and give him a run/pass option. Nothing stretches a defensive game plan thin quite like a mobile quarterback.

I have always appreciated this game. I think it'll serve its purpose more so than usual this season for the young Purps. Primary concern is how they handle the vaunted X ground attack. It will be a challenge and BG won't play anybody this year, playoffs included, that can match the physicality the Tigers will bring.

I do, however, believe this will be the best passing offense that X will face. The leaps that Bailey & co. have taken in that department are so very noticeable. I believe they can put some points on the board in that regard. Will it be enough? Probably not. But this will give a nice gauge on where we stand going in to the second season. I am going to be rooting hard, as always, but I just hope for an injury free competitive battle.

At least during the Wallace era, the Tiger offense has struggled to consistently throw the ball against the Purples defense. Even last year, while the score was 27-0 the offense didn't really ever get into a grove and needed special teams and defense pull away from the Purples. I can see the Tigers offensive game plan to be similar to when they played Manual; quick screens will be an extension of the run game as the Purples will play zone coverage primarily in the secondary. 

Baily has continued to improve and will be challenge for the Tiger defense. I'm sure Coach Seabolt will find creative ways to get his skill players in space and force the Tiger defense to make tackles in open field. Should be a fun game to end the season and get ready for the playoffs. 

Both the Sporting Times and Saint X will have live coverage.  I know the Sporting Times is free and I believe the X broadcast also is.

Not that anyone thought any different would happen but the scoreboard has been corrected.
