Ashland was shooting the lights out in the first half, heading into halftime with a 7 point lead.

The Colonels turned things up in the second half and got a little revenge for the loss to Ashland during the regular season.

Congratulations to the Tomcats on a great season!

Lol, thanks to @B-Ball-fan for that lovely preview image on the predictions/updates thread ?

CovCath's record at Rupp under Scott Ruthsatz is really remarkable.   11-2?  Do I have that right?  That is unreal.  It is hard to make it to Rupp out of the 9th, even harder to win games against the state's best in that iconic setting.

Chandler Starks was 9-13 with 21 points, and had 12 rebounds in the game. Evan Ipsaro went 9-15 with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Mekhi Wilson was 6-7 with 15 points, and Mitchell Rylee was 5-8 with 11 points and 6 rebounds.

Ashland didn’t have the size to hang in the post with Cov Cath. Still a fun team to watch.

Ashland was 7-12 in the first half from beyond the arc, and ended 12-27 on 3s.

Cole Villers was 7-14 from three point land.

That's a very good win for CovCath, especially considering they were down 7 at halftime.

Two really good teams and an excellent win for CovCath. Ashland’s program is top notch. Colonels were outstanding in the second half, especially the 4Q. Congrats Blue Colonels!

Ashland was out-rebounded 30-12 by Cov Cath.

Listened to the game on my laptop.  Guys said CovCath has the advantage inside on multiple occasions.  If Ashland couldn't stay hot from 3 it was not going to end well.  Sounds like that is what happened.
