There was some logic in his thinking, but it was changing literally every play. KC made all the wrong calls down there at the end and that greatly benefitted the Bengals.

He also suggested that the Cheif's purposely not score to run more time off the clock and fall down on the 1 yard line.  Unbelievable!

The best case scenario for the Chiefs there would have been to continue running the ball until they could score with very little time remaining, hence the idea of not scoring immediately. 

On the flip side, the Bengals couldn't afford to let the Chiefs run all the time out and score, with no chance to counter. In comes the idea to let them score, to at least give yourself a shot. 

KC botched the play calling about as bad as you could in that sequence and Cincy's defense capitalized, keeping them out of the end zone.

That last play that the Chiefs ran prior to the tying FG cracked me up.  There is Mahomes with all the time in the world looking for an open receiver against a 3 man rush.  All of a sudden, a blur comes from the right side of the screen!  It's Hubbard who got tired of playing the spy role and finally rushed Mahomes causing a fumble that almost ended the game right there.

Before the play started, I said I hoped the Bengals rushed him and when they only sent three I thought that was going to be bad news. The Cincy DB's did their job and Mahomes tried to do too much (as usual). 

Happy for Trent Taylor and that 2 point conversion.  He is the cousin of my niece's husband.  No, I don't think that qualifies me to receive free Super Bowl tickets!

Yeah, any other time it would've spelled disaster for the Bengals.  But yesterday the defense really stepped up in the second half and Mahomes just couldn't do the simple things like complete a pass to his running back in the flats.  For as good as Mahomes is, sometimes it seems like a lack of focus may get the better of him. 

Congratulations to all the Bengals fans on this forum.  I must admit at the beginning of the season the Bengals were the last team in the AFC North that I thought would be in position to go to the Super Bowl.  But at the end of the season, my team is in the position I thought the Bengals would be in and the Bengals are in the position I thought my team had an outside shot at obtaining.  It is remarkable how far the Bengals have come as a team this season.  

This Browns fan is rooting for the Bengals to win it all.

I had the Bengals ahead of the Steelers pre-season but behind the Ravens for sure, and slightly behind the Browns.

After watching Burrow this year, the Bengals are the favorite in the division going forward as long as he is the QB. Think about Burrow with an average o-line. The Bengals might draft 5 offensive linemen in this next draft.

As a rabid Browns fan, I choose to delay thinking about the scenario you suggest for a bit longer.

There was an open window to get the ball to Kelce early on.  Mahomes must have been looking elsewhere for some reason.

I was looking at the anticipated free agent list for offensive linemen.  With money to spend and because they are having success this year on the field, I'm hoping the Bengals grab a couple of them.  Then back that up in the draft as you say.

Good point. The Bengals will almost certainly have a better roster next year than they have this year. That doesn't mean another Super Bowl but the roster will definitely be better.

I think that's why myself and maybe others are just so pumped.  The Super Bowl is awesome and hopefully they win but there should be a lot of optimism about the Bengals for at least as long as Burrow's rookie contract.

I have only rewatched this game a few times already. This is just so crazy! The Bengals are going to the Super Bowl!!!
