I was talking with some of our fans on Saturday and they were saying if the Cats could make it to Richmond maybe they could have another run like in 1999 when they made it to the championship game.

I replied that if they make it they had a killer draw with the 9th, 10th, and 11th in their quarter. However, you can't avoid the top teams the whole tournament. You just line up and play who is next in the bracket.

I agree... If Gallatin is rolling they are tough to beat. It will be a tough draw for the Cats, but coach Jones will get the boys ready for the tournament.

I like Brossart from the 10th to win it all. They have excellent inside play in Cooper, Mutsch, and Niemeyer and good guards in Uebel and Kidney. Throw in good coaching in Code and this makes them a favorite.

Is it just me or do I see alot of independent and private schools on everyones list.

The All "A" state tournament is held in Richmond at Eastern Kentucky University.

January 31-February 4

 

First round of girls is January 31st and the first round of boys is February 1st. Second round on February 2nd (girls in am, boys in pm). Semi-finals on February 3rd and championship on February 4th.

I thought maybe if Bracken came out and played they're A game that they had a shot at Brossart until the 'Stangs only lost to Lex cath by 3, so now I'm not so sure.
