As much as it hurts some to say, Brandon Bender does belong on that starting five of Allan Houston, Jeff Lamp, Jerry Eaves and DeJuan Wheat.

Reserves include Lee Raker, Mark Bell, Al Miller, Don Jackson to name a select few.

Steve Schureman was pretty good too. So was Wes Burtner. Andrew Preston was also tough. That guard they have now will be on this list someday too.

I would also add the Collins boys to the reserves.

In front of Bill Nolte???? Surely you jest. Thompson was barely able to play professionally (Europe and South America, I believe) for a decade or so.

 

Nolte, on the other hand, played well into his 40's at the YMCA, drafting some of the finest talent that the area had to offer.

 

And if you want to limit the conversation to just their high school careers, well, there really is no comparison...
