Your School's All-Time Starting 5

Featured Replies

I like the fact you have all 5 starters from the 79 team, I tried to stay away from that. No PG on your reserve list. 2 SGs, 2 PFs and a C.

Hey Crunch, remember a boy named "Ty"? He doesn't come close to being on the list, but boy he had a good senior year. As for the 79 team, that's my all time favorite HHS team. Am I right? Voreis, Muntis, Sully, Malone, Malone, Redmond, Bowdy, Fischer who am I missing?

That would be Ty Hood class of 81. As for the 79 team, You got most of it. When you say Malone are you refering to Dave or Jim? They are cousins and both were seniors on that team. Both were major contributors. Dip Redmond was a jr, and did nt see much time on the varsity level. As far as Bowdy, is that Bruce Bowdy? I am trying to place him. I just don,t know if it is on the 79 team. Anyone else know? The 79 is my favorite team also.

No Rick Batsche, Marty Kehoe Player of the Year in 1973, I think? How about Ronny Dawn Sr & Phil Popp?

Sure there are a couple of names from the 60's I am forgetting and I will look for another of my PC brethren to fill those in for me.

I would say that Mason O'hara is better than Tyler Mains and Joey is better than pat elliot.

There have been some pretty good talent to travel through the halls of this very small school. Fairview could put their top ten up against just about anybody's in the 16th region, in my humble opinion.

What about St. Henry's top team. They had some good players on that 9th region champion team a few years ago. But, they lost to Lofton and his crew of Mason Co. by like 2. Also, St. Henry had some good players back in the 70's.

I think Donnie Rigsby would have to be mentioned in the top 5 for the Raceland Rams!

That'd be a really good team right there.

It is Bruce Bowdy, don't forget Rich Dees. Ty Hood wasn't on the varsity team of 79, he was a reserve. The rest of the team consisted of Joe Conley, Steve Ling and Chris Vogel. 79 was the best HHS team ever, what an experience to go to Rupp that year. Good times!!

Reserves- Don't want to leave anyone out so I'll end it here.

C/F Todd Parsley

Chris Jones, T.J. Maynard, and Ryan Watkins all make a stong case for the Russell team, and also they could be coached by former Devil player Scott Humphrey

Over the last decade at CovCath, my choices would be.......

Matt Nestheide

Todd Jacobs

Steve Purdon

Matt Finke

Brennan Votel

Maybe throw in a Hiltz somewhere in there. Anyone else thinks TJ makes the list (since 1996)?

I would take Lewin over Finke looking only at H.S. careers.
