It's difficult to leave Andy & Kevin Listerman off the list, but I think there are much more talented players. I'd probably take Nestheide ('04) & Purdon ('01)over them, but that's just my opinion.

I'd take Nesto over Kevin but Andy over Purdon every day and twice on Sunday. And as you know, I heap that praise on the latter begrudgingly. :p;)

Andy and Kevin would both be on it.

I'd go with Lewin over Finke as well.

What are you thoughts about Marc Bain? He's got to be the best shooter in that time period.

Kevin over Nesto? I disagree. IMHO.

. Also, St. Henry had some good players back in the 70's.

Jim Nestheide, dad of CCH great Matt Nestheide.

Greenup

Mike Scott

Steve Skaggs

Mark Quillen

Boo Williams

Tim Veach

I personally would have to go with the following Lineup for the Greenup County Musketeers:

G-Chris Plummer

G-Steve Skaggs

F-Boo Williams

F-Jim Tackett

C-Mike Scott

Second 5 In no Particular order: Adam "Bird" Tackett, Tim Veach, Damon Stephenson, Tracy Claxon, Mike Raby.

Chris Jones, T.J. Maynard, and Ryan Watkins all make a stong case for the Russell team, and also they could be coached by former Devil player Scott Humphrey

Chris Jones is the best that has played at Russell. There is no top 5 that is legitimate without him. You could probably make a case for Humphrey as a player/coach.

Mark Quillen played on the same team with Skaggs that made it to the sweet 16 semis. He may have been the best player on that team. I believe he went to Ole Miss on a basketball scholarship. He is without doubt one of the top five to play for GCHS.

Chris Jones was an awesome talent, It would be hard to include Humphrey in the top 5, not because he wasnt great but because he really only started two years of varsity and had to split playing time with Huddelston one year. No doubt Humphrey was a great one but all of the other top 5 pretty much started 3 years of varsity and accomplished a little bit more. IMO, Scott Humphrey is the second best middle man after Rick Hensley. Those two were the best PG EVER EVER EVER to play at Russell.

That is all very true. I just said you could make a case. I have to agree that he and Rick Hensley are 1 and 2 at the PG spot.

Finally..........we agree on something.....I'm buying you lunch!

OK. I'll always take a free meal.

That's perfect. You can have Andy, I'll take Purdon and his ability to shoot the rock.
