Boyle rolled up 500 yards of offense last time, but only came away with one touchdown. If they tighten a few screws in the redzone this week, I could see them winning by 3-4 scores. LexCath's defense has been lit up several times this year. I think we'll look back at the 16-10 game as an aberration.

I'm not sure of the exact date but Lexington Catholic started football around the late 80's early 90's and was in a different class than Boyle.  I know they where rivals in 1A with Harrodsburg and Garrard County.  It wasn't until they moved up to 2A before they became rivals with Boyle around mid 90's I assume.

First meeting ever was 1997. Boyle won that one by a point. The Bourbon County Cinderella season prevented a playoff rematch that year.

I think Boyle County wins going away this time around. I really don't see nobody in 4A beating them this year.

I do.

Franklin County, Johnson Central, Boyle and Corbin can all win in a matchup. I don't see any clear clear favorite. I do like our chances. Boyle definately has the easier path.

That's the great part about the RPI. You can play hard games in the regular season to get easier games in the playoffs instead of playing cupcakes in the regular season and having to go through a gauntlet.

I wouldnt call Christ School a cupcake or Franklin County. Pulaski was a similiar opponent. Cant help our district opponents are as bad as Boyles other than Catholic. Boyle has played lots of big names but most are way down in my opinion. So Boyle played 3 tuff games to Corbins 2 this year. Wow.....Don't worry, we meet them in the championship, we will see up to that point who has played the cupcake schedule.

I think it says a lot about your strength of schedule when you don't lose a game all season and still end up 3rd in the RPI.  Behind a team that has lost one, and a team that has lost 2 games.  

I wouldn't be counting my chickens until they hatch.  I do think we see that Corbin will have the toughest road to get there.

Do you mean this Christ School in North Carolina that is currently 4-5 on the season according to Maxpreps?  Look, I think Corbin is a strong contender if not the #1 team in the class  but the teams that might be historically good were not this year.  They weren't dodging anyone, just SK and Somerset were down this year.

If Lincoln Co. doesn't have its tailback injured during a 4 game slide early in the season their record (RPI) would've been drastically better, and would've helped IMO.  Their 6-6 record would atleast be 8-4 or maybe even 9-3.

I don't care what Christ Schools Record is, I know what they looked like on the field. I have watched every game possible this year in Ky inluding all of Boyles and all of Johnson Centrals and Franklins of what was available. I know what we have. 4A has a good group of teams with 4 IMO having a shot at winning it. I would say more but the other two being Central and Catholic has yet to beat this year one of the top 4. Glad to get a spark out of all of you. Its been crickets on here. Corbin isn't counting any chickens. We know we can get taken out as early as Friday with a Lincoln County team playing there best right now. Then if we get lucky and win that one. The rematch of the 3rd round last year might be on a collision course again. Then again, we may get taken out then. Johnson Central is playing some really good football and will be hard for anyone to beat including us. The fun games are on us all. I say good luck to all the teams and if you survive then you have done well. ?
