CovCath’s defense or special teams gets a score this game.

COLONELS 17

HHS 10

Also, after some research: I’m hoping the Colonels can extend their winning streak to 9 games.

In the previous 8 games, (if my math is correct), the Colonels have out scores the Bluebirds 273-68, which is quite staggering.

I wouldn’t mind seeing that score Friday night, it would sure be the 8-7 run fest we saw last time!

Have the Colonels returned a lot of kicks for TDs this season? Is Zion the return man? Or do you mean more like forced fumbles or interceptions for TDs?

I am more questioning the 2 Field Goals made, 1 a piece.....we might see 1 but having 2, I don't know about that.

IMO, their return team has been their best team this year. They returned one against Conner but was called back due to block in back that wouldn’t have had an outcome on the return. They have busted quite a few across the 50 deep into opposing teams territory, most notably against Elder.

I’m not sure how or if they will score, but the magic conch just has a feeling! As for their defense, they’ve played well all year, especially of late. It could be a pick 6, fumble recovery, kick off return, or punt block, I just feel if the Colonels manage to get one, they’ll like the outcome Friday.

Zion has been back there, but they’ve also shown a couple other guys who do a great job.

Bluebirds definitely have the advantage when it comes to kicking game, their kicker has a boot. I’ve accredited 2 FGs for the Colonels simply because they have struggled to score inside the Red Zone all year, I think even if they get down inside the 5, Eddie has to take the points.

Obviously Cov Caths defense is great. That said, what is the the weakness of this defense? To me it looked really balanced. Are there no kinks in the armor?

I would say no clear dominate player on defense.

I would say allowing QBs to extend plays with their feet. It also seems that they have allowed one big play a game- like a 90 yard TD run or a 3rd and Long that they let get away from them.

Nothing major, solid across the board, but this time of year, everything is big!

Wow, eight in a row for the Colonels.

I know games in the past don't mean anything but if I played for Highlands this would be one more thing that motivated me tomorrow night.

Here is another thing to chew on.....

The last time Highlands held Cov Cath to single digits and LOST, 1994 = Cov Cath 7, Highlands 3

Highlands came back with a Big Stick and crushed Cov Cath, 48-18

Let's go BIRDS!!!
