In terms of this game, Hopkinsville scored 6 points total against Ballard and Mayfield.  They had a senior QB in those games. Now they are starting a sophomore and expect to score against a BG defense that is much better than either one of those teams?  BG 24-7

Ballard’s defense is better than the BG Defense. Also I think Hopkinsville is better than McCracken County. 
 

In saying that I don’t see Hopkinsville scoring more than 10-14 points max against BG.

As long as BG controls the ball and doesn’t lose the game by turning it over or making special teams errors, then they win by a couple of scores.

South Warren, St. X, and Trinity - these are the teams that have won at Bowling Green in the last seven years. I don’t see the post-2005 version of Hopkinsville adding their name to that list.

The quarterback leaving the team really but Hopkinsville in a bind. The backup quit also so this guy is young and very inexperienced. I hear he is a great athlete and is a quick learner!

My computer rating says BG by 8.

Hoptown will have a very hard time scoring - especially if their QB is out.  BG defense paves way for new QB:

They will have their hands full. That’s the nicest way I can put that. I think that is the biggest mismatch of the game, Hopkinsville OL vs BG DL.

Ballard gave up 51 to Male.  In a scrimmage, Male got 14 on BG in a half.  Ballard may have D1 players, but  the coordination of a defense makes it better than the sum of its parts.  I've seen both.  BG's defense= people where they are supposed to be, when they are supposed to be there.  Ballard's defense= great athletes getting upfield creating havoc.  Two different styles.  I respectfully disagree that Ballard is better.

Greenwood at Warren Central - How about the job William Howard is quietly doing at Greenwood!!!  The Gators have put up 129 points in the first 3 games and only allowed 45.  WOW!

Russellville at Warren East - CalPreps says 27-8 Russellville.  That seems like a closer game than that to me.  Can the Raiders get it done on the Blue Turf?

I would like to point out that Greenwood is a 5A school and their first 5 games are against 4A and lower teams. In fact they only play one 5A or higher school other than the District opponents and that's Apollo.
