Yes I agree anything can happen. But I hate the RPI. I liked the old way you rotated every year. 

Expected Boyle would gradually regress with Smith handing it over. Regression is ahead of schedule, 4A wide open.

I wasn't happy with the run D also.  But Boyle is just small at LB and LCA RB's and QB are thick and run downhill.  The part I didn't like was in the second half our LB's were on their heels and not filling the gaps.  Boyle never set the edge all night.  Nobody coming up field !!  Boyle has a lot of work to do.  Better to find out now but I don't know who there is to step in or step up.  LCA looked good and deserved the win.

I'm not sure that's a fair assessment.  Boyle has an excellent coaching staff.  Coach Smith lost games also.  They won a State Championship without him last year.  Or did you mean starting the "second" year they would then regress?

Boyle has won three state championships without Smith.

Boyle has a slew of young guys that I think could step up and fill some of these roles.  If the job isn't getting done by who is in there, maybe you need to try someone else.

Haddix got handed a full cupboard of well coached, fundamentally sound players from the previous coaching regime. Now we will see what we does on his own merit. Chuck Smith is a giant footprint to follow in, I think anyone would agree there.

Haddix took two teams of his own players to the finals while at Corbin. (Beating a Chuck Smith team in the semi's to get to one of them) Listen I love Coach Smith, Jeff Hester, Chris Pardue (who still doesn't get near enough credit) and Larry French.  Chris Mason was also the OC at Bowl for the '09 and '10 teams.  I agree with you that it's a tough coaching staff to follow but Haddix has shown his ability to take a team to the big game already at another school.  This team was working this summer as hard as I've EVER seen them.  But that doesn't mean they are the favorites to win it all.  They are thin at some positions this year.  I would put them behind Franklin and Corbin right now, and maybe Johnson Central.  But I had them behind those two before the season started.  They lost several good players, it happens.  Doesn't mean they are poorly coached.

I was going to come to this game and try to sit near you and say hello. I decided to finish mowing and ran over a nest of yellow jackets. Hey, they stung me about 15 times before I knew what was happening around my head and neck. I sat in the recliner the rest of the evening after that. Boyle is in good hands with Haddix. 

Geez buddy.  Sorry about the jackets !!  Frustrating game to watch.  Been a long time since Boyle gave up that many yards on the ground.  LCA looked the part, that's for sure.  If somebody from out of state had been driving by and decided to check out a local game they wouldn't have given Boyle a chance looking at the two teams if they didn't know the history of the two teams.  But we know what we have to work on to make a run.  Just have to work harder.
