Congrats to Highlands and Coach Sphire. The side distraction worked well, Matt Bertasso put a clinic on and deserves a big thank you and apology from many including myself.

Looks like a very good hire for the Birds.  Now get a staff hired and get to work on bringing Highlands football back to the forefront in the state of Kentucky.  If anything, these threads have shown that the community is behind the program and wants nothing but the best for the kids.

It will be an all-star staff.

A question I mentioned in the open job thread:

Coach Sphire is 63 or 64 years old. Logically, he's got to be thinking of retirement somewhere in the near future, right?  Is this a unofficially an interim hire by Highlands?
