Trinity (9-0) and Male (8-1) will square off in the championship for the 2nd year in a row. Last year Trinity won 28-6. Trinity and Male faced off earlier this year with Trinity winning 43-14. Trinity arrives to this game after defeating St. Xavier 31-0. Male arrives after defeating Paul Dunbar 49-6. Male will bring the dynamic duo of WR Vincel Anthony and RB Jaylin Bross to try and improve on the 14 points they scored against Trinity earlier this year but must improve significantly on defense after giving up 43. Trinity has a lot of weapons on offense with QB Nathan McElroy, RB Armon Tucker, RB Bradley West, and the WR trio of Wynton Johnson, WR Jack Mitchell, and TE Gavin Simpkins. Male defense will counter with DL Selah Brown, LB Elijah Manning, and CB Nicholas Coates. Can Male pull the upset or does Trinity roll to their 27th championship?

Male seems to much improved, but against lesser competition. They didn't get to play Manual or St. X.

The Trinity defense is still the show in Kentucky.

It may be closer this time, but not by much.

They should just hold 6A championship in Louisville every year. Save on travel and better crowd.

Here is a shock, never would have predicted these 2 teams make it to the finals. Hmmmmmm, let me think who might win. I guess I will take Trinity. I feel sorry for all other schools in 6A other than the Big 3. They know they never have a chance to win a state title, very rare occasion, I think Scott County being the last one to do so..

On to a more exciting state games that will be in the other classes.

Got tickets since my nephew plays for Male. I think Trinity wins 35-7.

Male could do it but not likely..... Shamrocks again.

Coach Beatty and the Rocks are 14-2 in State Championship games.

They lost to Male in 2000, 34-14, and

St. X in 2009, 34-10.

88% win percentage. About as good as it gets.

Need to get better.

The Big Two rise to the top to face each other as usual. Should be a great game.  Go Rocks.

So Male just has to get to 34 and they’re good! Trinity’s defense is just too good for any offense this year, and it seems Male has gotten better but the teams they’ve had to beat aren’t overly impressive this year; not their fault though.

I’ll go with Trinity pretty easily... 34-9.
