SvFan4life
He's so much more. Not only can he run and ball and make things happen but he his a receiving machine. The Saints are 9-4 I think it said. The Texans are 4-9 but I wonder what they would have been if they would have drafted Bush instead? He is going to develop into a great running back and into one heck of a versatile player in the NFL. I think he has got the Saints to where they are now and I know brees is having a great year but Bush is a great player and has majorly helped the Saints get to where they are now. I'm not sure if he'll ever be a great running back, but if he can play on a team with a solid ball carrier (like McAlister of the Saints), that will let Bush run the ball, catch the ball, heck, maybe even throw it! If his teams always have a solid #1 in front of him, Bush will be one of the best all-purpose players in the history of the game.
cshs81
IMO he'll never be a "great running back." He can be a great receiver out of the backfield but so far he has not shown the ability to carry the ball consistently. Very exciting when you get him the ball on the outside. By the way, the Texans would be no better off than they are now had they drafted him.
HHSDad
Colston and Bush. Has to be one of the better rookie drafts. Colston and Horn just make Bush even more dangerous.
Tough as Nails
Was just talking about him yesterday. It appears that Bush has started to adjust to the pro game. And when he is totally adjusted, he will be dangerous. It is a huge jump from college to the pros, but especially when coming from the weak defenses he saw in the Pac 10. MJAlltheWay24
Nothing against Reggie Bush, but the Saints are doing as well as they are becuase of Drew Brees. But, with that being said, Bush has showed a lot of promise this season.

I don't think he'll ever be a great "running back" either...he doesn't really run all that well, but he is a great playmaker when he gets the ball in the open field. The Saints wouldn't be as good without Bush, but they'd still be a good team.
bugatti
The biggest thing is that he has become a great decoy. Payton is using him perfectly. He gets his touches, but the team is extremely dangerous with him on the field. The defense pays so much attention to Bush, others definetley benefit... Deuce especially. When Reggie is at a slot and put in motion with Deuce in the backfield, there is almost more attention paid to Bush.

5wide
I'm not sure that saying Bush is not what we expected is an accurate statement for the majority of people. I know there are some that had doubts about how good he would be at the next level. But, there were many more, IMO, who were like me, in thinking that he would be a once-in-a-decade time of player...his skill set and abilities are incredible. The biggest question, in my mind, was whether or not the team that drafted him would use him in a way that took full advantage of his skills. I think it's safe to say the Saints have. And, I feel pretty safe in saying that we're just getting some glimpses of what he's going to do during his career. I expect Bush to become very similar to what Marshall Faulk was for the Rams during his prime.
fieldhousekrayzie21
He doesn't have to be a great RB. He is a great player, thats all that matters.
Latch
By the way, the Texans would be no better off than they are now had they drafted him. Why? I think their offense would be greatly improved and it would take a ton of pressure off of the O'line and Carr.

Which they had at the time of the draft. You can't predict Davis going out for the year...
