futurecoach
Tom Brady is the GOAT, but he's the GOAT because of Belichick, IMO. I'm a Brady fan, but I think the Patriots could have been the Patriots with a number of QB's. Before Brady, Belichick was busy getting fired from the Browns. Before Brady, Belichick was losing to a horrible Bengals team when Bledsoe was the starter still, before Brady took over two games later due to injury. Then that same team that lost to a horrible Bengals team went on to win their first super bowl that same year. So his track record before Brady doesn’t exactly scream that he would have done the same without Brady with creating the Patriot way. Imo it took a QB like Brady. A QB who was the ultimate competitor, who also held teammates to as high of standards as he had to help Belichick create the Patriot way so to speak. Without Brady the buy in to the Patriot way maybe never happens. At the end of the day it takes winning to help get players to buy into that. Which is also why none of the assistants under Belicheck have been successful doing the Patriot way at their new places. It took a QB like Brady to help make that way successful. If he still loves the game, and can still play the game rather well. Then why not keep playing?

Bluegrasscard
Tampa Bay = no state income tax. For high paid athletes Florida (and Tennessee, etc.) have a little bit more draw in that regard.
