Is that a problem? Don't get it. Also it should not be a violation to dunk in warmups..kids like it..fans like it..and you can dunk in games. Plus..what if refs walk out and kid does not see them and dunks? Technical foul and kid is in trouble with coach. Very stupid rule.

After talking to some folks, this is what it was. They signaled out Donovan which bothered me, and both teams were dunking. I am sure lesson learned by the coaching staff for tomorrow night’s game.

This is comical that we now live in a world where looking at your opponent is thought of as ridiculous. It isn't like they are doing the haka. Would this even be a discussion if this was Covington Latin who stood there during introductions? This is 100% people who don't like Cov Cath finding their next thing to hate on.

My daughter plays varsity basketball and there have been at least a half dozen teams that stand in this particular formation when they are announced an I have never felt it was for intimidation purposes. I feel like its more of showing respect to your opponent.

I asked my daughter how she felt about it an she says she really never pays attention to other team or what they are doing.

The "T" was for dunking in warmups - warmup period for highschool basketball is 20 minutes - teams are allowed to dunk until the warmup clock hits the 16:00 mark - that is when the officials are to be on the court - after the 16:00 mark teams are no longer allowed to dunk - a dunk was witnessed by an official therefore a "T".

If they were giving a technical for how they stand during starters introduction is silly. If it bothers a team what they can do is just go out and beat them. I’ve seen Covington Catholic play twice this year and it did not effect me in any bad way. Plus the two games I seen them play they lost. (Maybe I’m bad luck for the Colonels lol).

Smokey Joe, I am sorry that your daughter had to go through the traumatic experience of the poor sportsmanship that a half dozen teams showed by standing on a basketball court and looking at her and her teammates as they were introduced. I applaud her and her teammates strength at being able to continue to step onto the court after having to deal with this trauma AT LEAST 6 times this year.

Just like you get your feelings hurt when anyone dares to speak out against the Cov Cath way. I firmly believe that they wouldn't be so loathed and criticized if they would do some things the right way. I think it's great a NKY school can be successful but have some respect for your other schools. There is a reason why NCC isn't playing them anymore and I would suspect more will follow. It has nothing to do with them beating them either I can guarantee that.

Here's a picture of Highlands freshman team from the finals of the Kaelin NKY Freshman Invitational Tournament last month. Look at those kids...standing side by side at the foul line...intimidating everyone. Threatening everyone. I've got chills.

@HSBballfan1212 I've seen this done in NKY and Louisville both on several occasions, and I don't go to very many basketball games. I guess you don't get out too much.
