I haven't seen Chandler Starks suiting up in any Freshmen tourney games, nor have I seen Conner use Hamilton or Campbell in their Freshmen Tourney games. To each their own, I guess.

 

Boyd doesn’t play much on varsity. JV yes but I think he has played freshman all year. BW is a small school so they don’t have a ton of kids to choose. Plus the more kids play the better in my opinion. Boyd is a good player but it’s not like he is some super stud that only plays freshman in certain games. I think he has actually played better in JV games than he has in freshman games.

CovCath battles back from an eight point halftime deficit to get the win and move into the finals. Really thought Stevens did a good job coaching tonight with the halftime adjustments.

To back up Bwtigerpaw, Boyd has scored 11 points all year in varsity action. He rarely plays varsity and it is end of game minutes when he gets in. Starks is a varsity starter.

Boyd has played 57 minutes and 4 seconds of varsity all season.

Highlands will be trying to keep CovCath from a 4th straight, while Highlands will be trying to win its first since 2001. Enjoy this boys … its the best freshman tournament (probably the best non-varsity tournament) in the state.
