Big time upset. Too many pass attempts. Reason for bloated pass yardage numbers for Jackson and 3 costly turnovers. Kept Jackson in the pocket and he struggled throwing the football. Great young player. I am sure he will get many more chances in the playoffs. Great game plan for Tennessee. I will not be surprised if they are in the Super Bowl. Awesome season by the Ravens but disappointing end.

After watching my long-time favorite team go down in the first game I was looking forward to this one to see Lamar coming out party - until that first interception. That definitely set the tone for the game.

 

The two 4th-and-1 s were disasters. Felt they were asking too much of the O-line and Lamar in both those situations and there was no reason to go for it in either situation. The first failure lead to a quick strike on a short field. The second one the Ravens could get within one score with a FG, at home, with a whole half to play.

 

Three turnovers were not good. The last two probably happened in part due to Tennessee playing with house money at that point in the game. They were rushing hard and playing loose in coverage willing to take some chances. Without a true running back the Titan D-line just needed to look for #8.

 

Harbaugh looked thoroughly out-coached. Along with the 4th down calls he could be questioned about resting the starters the last week of the regular season. The Titans had the Ravens off kilter all night.

 

Henry is a beast and I would like to see this underdog team take it all the way at this point.

What about that jump pass for a TD? Ravens lost the game up front and IMO got outcoached. With Ingram out Jackson was asked to do everything. His receivers surely did not play well overall.

Also, I'm not a big Titan guy, but they are only an hour south of me, so I like to see them do well. I was told 19 years is a long time to hold a grudge, but I always hated that the Ravens knocked the Titans out in the 2001 playoffs, when Tennessee was the #1 seed in the AFC. Feels a bit like balance here.

 

You want to talk about a grudge, try having your franchise leave your area and go to Baltimore and have to watch them with so much success over the years, and have to wait 5 years to get your team back in your city, and then struggle worse than any team or fans deserve. I hate the Ravens, even if Lamar is phenomenal.

Btw, I liked Henry coming out of college. "He is what I said he was," to modify a phrase from Dennis Green who meant it in a very different way.

Very similar to what happen to Cleveland though the Colts were pretty sneaky. Art Model told the Mayor of Cleveland he wouldn't discuss a new stadium until after the season. Then he announced the move to Baltimore during the season. Traitor.

 

I am with you regarding the Colts. I do not abide disloyalty to a fan base. I do not respect the Colts franchise since they left Baltimore. Even though I think Peyton Manning is a great QB and probably a fine person (his commercials were funny) I never jumped on the Manning bandwagon or rooted for the Colts in any game. I have no respect for them. They got a taste of their own medicine from Josh McDaniels. He dissed them when he backed out of becoming their HC.
