I hear ya Puplepride92. I ask the same thing a couple of weeks ago.

Coach Mason told me yesterday that he thought we would hear something by the first of next week, kinda sounds like they’re looking at 5 coaches 4 of them have won state titles at other schools and the other has a great resume.

I heard no one at Boyle applied for the job.

Not sure but I was told Travis Leffew did, now this may or may not be true coach wouldn’t give me any names, and he wasn’t the one who told me Travis applied.

If this job is like any other school job then it has to be posted for at least 30 days before the official hiring process can take place. It was posted on December 17th and if my math is right that means it will close Jan 16th. I don't think there will be any info available until at least that date.

After talking to coach again you’re right no one on the staff applied.

I asked the same question and was told no it doesn’t have to be posted 30 days because it’s a non teaching job.

I currently coach at Boyle and when I applied I was told by the administration that the same Job I applied for must be posted for 30 days even though I was the only candidate. Any job that has tax funds spent on it, therefore, any school job teaching or not must be posted for at least 30 days according to what I was told.

I could be wrong and I am ok with that as I stated that is just what I was told when I was hired.

I pretty much agree with this. I'm sure who ever gets hired will also have a teaching job at BCHS. IMO everyone is just going to have to wait another week or so.

It gets tricky.

But a coaching position is considered a classified job, so the 30 day rule doesn’t apply.

Now, of course the new coach will have a teaching position, but that side of the thing can be drawn out to meet the 30 day requirement. Unofficially official kind of deal.

I want to clear something up about this post the only thing coach said in this post was that he thought we would hear something by next week, the rest of the post is pure speculation on my part coming from different people I’ve talked to about the coaching position.

Teaching positions do, coaching positions do not.

Here is another take on the length of time the positions have to be posted when it was discussed earlier.

I was told by a teacher that teaching positions have to be posted for 30 days but coaching positions don’t.
