Dixie's Freshmen beat the BRossart Freshmen last Monday.

 

I do not recall the score.

 

On the Dixie line you show a loss to Brossart - that is incorrect.

Good to see the Birds frosh doing so well in bball. Undefeated as frosh in football and undefeated so far in bball. The frosh class is probably the most athletic class that will have ever passed through the halls at Highlands (I'm beginning to sound like Dale:jump:). What makes the bball team's accomplishments even more impressive, is the fact that they are undefeated without several of the kids that played pretty well on the 8th grade team (Collinsworth, Roller and Bardo to name three). For now, Roller and Bardo are concentrating on football, and Collinsworth is rehabbing his leg. Should those three all pick up hoops again next year, it will make a very strong class of basketball players even stronger. Good job frosh bball players, keep it going!

Go Birds!!! Wow, they have pulled out some tough victories this year. Beating Elder at the buzzer at their place and now a tough Ryle team.

As for the Ryle/Highlands game. Ryle goes up by 1 with 5.5 seconds to go. Highlands takes it the length of the court to win it as the buzzer sounds. Great game back and forth all night. Largest lead may have been 4 points by either team. I hope these teams meet again in the tournament.
