wildcatfan
Boone lost to NewCath in HC tourney. Boone freshman team is missing 3 of its best freshman (2 of these had been starting for the freshman and J.V teams and playing some varsity). Earls and Gabbard are playing varsity. Earls has been playing varsity all season. Popp is out until approximately Feb. 6 with a broken patella sustained during a rebound in a varsity game last week. fullcourt
Brossart 39, Boone County 36 on Thursday, December 29th Boone has had a few players who were with them earlier moved up. Boone was missing Gabbard and Popp. Gabbard has a sprained ankle (out two weeks) and Popp fractured his knee (out six weeks). Flannery, Gabbard & Popp had been playing Freshmen, JV & Varsity. Boone will also be without Flannery when there is a game time conflict between Freshman and JV/Varsity. With the full compliment of Flannery, Popp & Gabbard, they would have been tough to beat, but with all the injuries and getting into the meat of the varsity schedule, they will not be playing much freshman ball the rest of the season.
