Lots of places "have a coach". Doesn't mean they're not looking for a better one. Highlands hasn't exactly been the perennial power of years past.

I find it pretty hard to believe (read: not true) that Highlands Admin would be searching for a new coach before they’d gotten rid of the current one. They don’t need to do that.

Maybe done through intermediaries? A smart employer would have the replacements lined up before cutting ties with the current staff.

If Highlands is the program they say they are, they don’t have to put out feelers for potential coaches. Especially not with “intermediaries.”

It’s a house divided in Ft. Thomas right now. One thing for sure, it’s going to be an interesting off season.

It is not divided, it is crumbling. All I can say if things stay status quo on the coaching staff, there will be a lot of support for the program that finds itself going somewhere else.

 

Things are not good at all as they currently stand and when you lose control of the reins things spiral out of control very quickly.

Everyone talks like these are big money college jobs! It's HIGH SCHOOL football in Kentucky, not TEXAS. Coaches are either teachers or administrators who coach or paraprofessionals who have a full time job. Chris is a great guy and a coach. Chris and Brian Weinrich were high school and I believe, college teammates. He knows the HHS job is not what it once was and that in theory he has an easier time making a playoff run at Male in 6A than at Highlands in 5A since the new classification. Just my opinion. He certainly will have much different talent if he comes back to the big FT.

Highlands does need to say anything about their program.
