December 3, 200619 yr I actually feel bad for Tubby, I really do. GREAT guy, good coach, but can't get the kinda players at UK to meet the standards. UK standards will never change. UK is in the business of winning. Tubby has won, but he has the Final Four albatross around his neck. I don't feel sorry for him one ounce. He is making 2.5 million a year... It's about the Henry and the Joe's.
December 3, 200619 yr I agree there haven't been many but West Va. last year has to count as one. Tubby up til last year had a pretty solid record against ranked teams. I had it written down somewhere but it is lost in a pile somewhere. They were 4-5 against ranked teams last year and are 0-3 this year.
December 3, 200619 yr BLOWOUT...WAS THERE ANY DOUBT? I agree that there wasn't any doubt that UK would take the loss. But I harldy consider 12 pts. to be a blow out. I think that the biggest UNC lead was only 14, and they had it down to 7 or 9 with about 1 minute to go.
December 3, 200619 yr They did have it down to 4 until Roy brought the "A" group back after benching them as a group. I got sick of PACCker saying it was over with 6 minutes left, I know UK had no shot at winning but a ton can happen in 6 minutes down by 13.

I like Tubby, but will continue to be frustrated with him. He has divided the fan base. His refusal to replace any assistants and get better recruits, will seal his fate IMO. Gotta believe we are on schedule for 10-13 losses. Call me crazy but I believe Patterson is what makes or breaks the Tubbster.

December 3, 200619 yr Are there better recruits this year? First good class since 04. You can't have the big gaps inbetween. As I said before; when Jasper/Meeks get good, Crawford and Morris will be gone. We are back in the same boat. A 5 star recruit from KY, Hopson a top 10 ranked player, and the best SF in his class right now signed with Miss State already.
