I don't think a one lost Bama just a one lost Big 12 Champ Oklahoma. I do think a one lost Bama would still get in over a one lost Pac 12 champ unless that Pac 12 champ just rolls in the Pac 12 Championship like OSU did Wisconsin in 2014. If not I think the committee would put a one lost Bama in over the Pac 12 champ. Oregon losing to what may be a 4 lost Auburn, while Bama beat Auburn hurts Oregons cause. While Utah losing to an average USC doesn't help their cause.

Oregon’s loss being week 1 I think helps their case plus the committee did watch the game. Oregon controlled that entire game and definitely represented themselves well but just mismanaged the game away. I don’t think it hurts them as much. The common opponent works in Oregon’s favor though. I’ll be curious to see how they rank them relative to each other this week. If Bama is at 4 or 5 and Oregon is at 6 it will get interesting. Bama can’t really move up unless one of the 3 in front of them lose. Oregon will at least get to add a top 10 win.

I think Bama has to to root for LSU to run the table and be undefeated along with probably Clemson and hope everyone one else has a loss and just take their chances with the committee. imo

That being said I still don’t think they have much of a shot but that’s their only hope.

Just answer this for me? Did Texas lose to TCU? Fluky or not they lost. They barely beat Kansas. Texas is not a good football team, they’re not bad but acting like it’s a great win for LSU is a joke. It’s comparable to Ohio States win over Indiana.

Also, since when do you count a win over a Group of Five team? I thought they were beneath the Power Five schools and didn't belong in your opinion.

That is the path for Bama. They must have LSU go undefeated. If Bama's only loss is to LSU by 5 with an injured Tua at QB, they can make an argument they should be in.
