November 10, 20196 yr It is entertaining watching our resident OSU guys talking up an SEC quarterback. :lol2:
November 10, 20196 yr We get criticized because we don’t sellout on a former player lol. We love Joe and will always love Joe, just like we do with all other OSU grads. The hate is real and it’s starting to become odd. Same way I feel about Hurts.
November 10, 20196 yr Oh yes, because Gary Danielson is just the greatest example of someone in the know. How about the committee chair? Many thought the ugly loss to South Carolina would be among the worst for one-loss teams in the eyes of the selection committee, but as Playoff chair Rob Mullens said on Tuesday night, Georgia's two victories over then-Top 10 teams Notre Dame and Florida carry the most merit. Evidently they do look at where teams were ranked when they are beaten.
November 10, 20196 yr Same way I feel about Hurts. As you should feel. We don’t sellout given the first opportunity!
November 10, 20196 yr Curious what you all think, but in my opinion Bama is done. If they beat Auburn that will be their only ranked win of the year and by that point Auburn will likely be a 4 loss team after losing to Georgia and Auburn. So they’ll be in the 15-20 range so it won’t be a statement type win. Then you contrast that with whoever wins the Pac 12 between Oregon and Utah and whoever comes out of the 2 game series between Baylor and Oklahoma and I’m not sure Bama will be able to make a case other than the fact that they’re Bama. I agree. I think they will need a lot to go right for them to get in now. Which crazy things happen though the last month of each season.
November 10, 20196 yr Bama would need complete chaos to overtake college football to get in the playoffs.

But counting Texas as a top 10 win when they are unranked is a different story.
November 10, 20196 yr I agree. I think they will need a lot to go right for them to get in now. Which crazy things happen though the last month of each season. All except last year go figure. Right now, the SEC Champ is in, Big 10 Champ is in, Clemson is in. Bama would need a 2 loss Pac 12 and Big 12 champ. That’s certainly possible and no one would even be shocked because those leagues aren’t great, but it would still require chaos because I don’t think Baylor will be able to hang with Oklahoma. Hurts should light them up twice and I expect them to be 12-1. Oregon and Utah will be heavily favored in the rest of their games until the Pac 12 championship. I’m not going to act like I think any of those 3 teams (Oklahoma, Oregon, and Utah) would beat Bama, but at some point you have to be able to prove why someone deserves to be there and Bama’s case will be hard to make.
November 10, 20196 yr ND and Florida were still ranked top 15 in the rankings. But counting Texas as a top 10 win when they are unranked is a different story. The fluke loss to TCU on the road is why Texas isn't still in the top 15. They (unfairly) went from 15th to unranked after that loss. The win over K State today will put them back in the rankings. Their only two other losses are to LSU and Oklahoma by 7 points each.
November 10, 20196 yr I guess in this sense it literally means more apparently. Ummm... Who has your team played to even come close in comparison?
November 10, 20196 yr Ummm... Who has your team played to even come close in comparison? To who? We’ve played no one close to Bama. But prior to LSU playing Bama, Ohio State has the strongest SOS of every undefeated team. But that doesn’t fit your narrative that, “Ohio State ain’t played nobody PAWWLLL!”

Fluky or not they lost. They barely beat Kansas. Texas is not a good football team, they’re not bad but acting like it’s a great win for LSU is a joke. It’s comparable to Ohio States win over Indiana.
November 10, 20196 yr :lol2: Laugh all you want. That’s a bonafide fact. That’s not my opinion that’s the metric the committee used. Ohio State had the 20th ranked SOS and LSU had the 46th. Sorry if the tea tastes bad to you.

I don't think a one lost Bama just a one lost Big 12 Champ Oklahoma. I do think a one lost Bama would still get in over a one lost Pac 12 champ unless that Pac 12 champ just rolls in the Pac 12 Championship like OSU did Wisconsin in 2014. If not I think the committee would put a one lost Bama in over the Pac 12 champ. Oregon losing to what may be a 4 lost Auburn, while Bama beat Auburn hurts Oregons cause. While Utah losing to an average USC doesn't help their cause.
